All teeth are important, as the baby teeth as permanent teeth. The first, in addition to allowing babies to bite into solid food and to chew, they facilitate learning of oral language, participate in the development of the jaws and facial muscles and prepare the space occupied by all the permanent teeth by serving as guides. Teach your children good dental hygiene is their a gift for life.

Children love to learn by imitating. The best way to teach them how to brush their teeth, is to do it yourself, and be happy in front of them . This learning should start at the naisssance, you wrap a little gauze or cloth around one of your fingers, you wet and you gently rub baby’s gums after each meal. Once that the first teeth, pick up a toothbrush for children and rub the gums and the language of your brat twice a day. Do not use toothpaste before it three years , at which time then you can set the brush size of a pea to a fluoride toothpaste for children.

If your child wants to help you and try to grasp the toothbrush, use it in two, one that you let him take and one with which you would clean the teeth. Start with the front teeth and perform a scan in the direction of growth of the teeth. Brush well face crushing molar teeth to remove food debris stuck in the folds. It should also gently brush the gums where the teeth pierce.

According to the Canadian Dental Association, children are able to brush their teeth properly when they can write their names and have enough manual dexterity to handle the brush well. Until then, it is up to parents to ensure they are clean and healthy.

The importance of a healthy diet
We all know that a healthy diet is essential to our well-being and health of our teeth. Foods rich in calcium, like milk and cheese, contribute to the good ‘tooth enamel as well as vitamins A and C present in many fruits and vegetables. By offering your child a diet rich in nutrients and vitamins , you provide all that is necessary for the health of their teeth.

Sweets and sugary drinks, such as biscuits, chocolate, juices and soft drinks cause tooth decay, especially when items such as sticky sweets and some raisins, adhere to the folds of the molars. The risks to the Child of cavities increases with the amount of sugar they consume and the period during which the sugar is still in his mouth.

Brush your teeth after every meal helps to remove food debris and remaining sugar on the teeth, but if that is not practical, let him finish his meal with food detergent action, like an apple or a piece of celery and a glass of water. These foods help to remove food particles lodged in the folds of the teeth. Rather than offer sweet treats, present him healthy food and safe for the teeth as fruits and vegetables, cheese, natural popcorn or crackers. As for drinks, milk and water are your best choice. If you offer juice, dilute it with water or look for brands that are low in sugar, but avoid artificial sweeteners. Banish completely soft drinks.

The truth about fluoride
Most Canadians consume daily traces of fluoride in their food and water fluoridated municipal water. The effectiveness of fluoride in preventing dental cavities is supported by over 90 health professional organizations, national and international, including Health Canada and the Canadian Dental Association , but the ADC does not recommend giving fluoride supplements to children under six years. A dentist may prescribe topical treatments their fluoride if they seem to be prone to dental caries.

The first appointment with a dentist
The child will go first to the dentist after the onset of her first tooth. The Canadian Dental Association recommends to submit the child’s first dental examination within six months after the first tooth or when it has a year. Many parents believe that it’s a bit early, but the initial examination designed to eliminate any potential problems. At the very least, parents should bring their child to the dentist when he was three years and all his baby teeth have pierced. After this first visit, the child should have a dental examination twice a year.

Here are some tips I can give to parents who have a vital role in maintaining good oral health of their children.

Eating habits of children.
Avoid sugar
The sugar food or drink is digested by bacteria in saliva, including Streptococcus mutans.
Digestion of sugars leads to the release of acid that attacks tooth enamel: the beginning of the process carious.
T sugar is present in many foods.
The most harmful is the refined sugar content in chocolates, candies, cakes, cookies etc..
Sugar is also present in all soft drinks, including fruit juices .
The carbonated soft drinks are particularly dangerous for teeth as very sweet and acid, which greatly increases the attack power of the enamel.
The preferred drink for your children is simply water.

Brushing the teeth
All babies are bacteria in the mouth.
We can start cleaning the mouth of a baby with a compress, before it has teeth.
From the first appearance of the tooth (usually the around 6 months) it is necessary, you parents that you brush the teeth. The child will thus become aware of this habit.
It will continue until it is able to do it alone, or around two and a half years, three years.
A check of brushing and a little help if necessary, will be always welcome.
We can consider that a child has the dexterity sufficient from the age of 6 years to make himself a good brushing.

Regular visits to the dentist
Be aware that decayed teeth should be treated even if they should fall one day!
It is recommended to bring her child first visit at age 3 years to play down: the consultation will be a discovery of the place, obtaining an understanding that will leave any soft good memories of the dentist for your child.
The dentist will check the presence or absence of caries, occlusion is to say, the meshing of teeth between them, the state of gums.

It will take stock of brushing, eating habits, a possible prescription of fluoride. Finally it is recommended to bring your child 1-2 times a year visiting the dentist because prevention is better than cure. Dr. Elizabeth Sciberras Champeau.

Some children may need more frequent evaluations and care. According to this recommendation, the following dental checklist for children has been provided by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry)

From birth to six months:
o Clean baby’s mouth with gauze after feedings and at bedtime.
o See your child’s pediatrician about the use of fluoride supplements.
or Regulate feeding habits (bottle or breastfeeding).
From six to 12 months old:
o During this time the first tooth should appear. Ask your pediatric dentist for an exam.
or brush your teeth after each feeding and at bedtime with a small brush with soft bristles.
or when the child begins to walk, stay alert of potential dental or facial injury, or both.
o Remove the child from the bottle by their first birthday approaches.

Twelve to 24 months of age
or Follow the schedule of dental examinations and cleanings, as recommended by your child’s pediatric dentist. Usually recommended examinations and dental cleanings for children and adults every 6 months.
or As your child learns to rinse his mouth and that most have erupted deciduous teeth (baby teeth), it is to brush with a portion toothpaste the size of a pea. Facts about deciduous teeth: Proper care of a child’s deciduous teeth (also known as milk teeth or primary teeth) is very important as these teeth hold space for the outbreak future permanent teeth. o If a baby tooth decays or is removed too early, you lose the space for the permanent teeth can only be regained through orthodontic treatment. or Infected baby teeth can cause inappropriate development of permanent teeth, resulting in stains, pits and weaker teeth. Most children begin losing their baby teeth around 4 years – usually the front teeth first.

They continue to lose baby teeth until twelve or thirteen, when he finally shows all the permanent teeth. Diet and dental care for children: To ensure that your child eats correctly to maintain a healthy body and teeth, it is recommended that following: Ask your dentist or to help you determine your child’s diet. or shop wisely. Do not fill your pantry with sugary or starchy foods. Buy “fun foods” just for special occasions. o Limit the number of rolls, choose nutritious snacks. or Maintain a balanced diet and save foods with sugar or starch for mealtimes. or not put your young child to bed with a bottle of milk, juice or candy. o If your child chews gum or drink soda, choose those without sugar.

To achieve this you have to do your homework on time. will outline here some of the best tips I know to help you start with this and I make sure that you will avoid any bad results.

Tip 1. You can always ask your dentist to show you some before and after photos so you can get an idea of how your dentist worked before in other patients. Some dentists also have this kind of pictures of cosmetic dentistry for sale. You just have to ask.

Tip 2. Before you begin your cosmetic dentistry procedure you will have to make sure that what you want and / or the need is the same as what your dentist will. To make sure of this you need to have great communication with your dentist. You do not want to have a bad experience at the end and see that you ended up with something you do not like.

Tip 3. Another great thing you can do for you and your dentist, you bring with you photos that show your results. This way your will know exactly what you have in mind, what you Desire.

Tip 4. Never allow a dentist to prepare their teeths start without first having a functional wax-up done for you so you can see exactly how they want the teeth look after your treatment. This functional wax-up is prepared in the laboratory in order to be approved by you.

Tip 5. The large ammounts of money are spent each year by companies that put their products in cosmetic dentistry. You should not belive everything you see in ads on TV. Always try to research each product or put a firm wants to use the Internet. Look for reviews and anything you might find to make an accurate idea of anything you could use. I have outlined the great tips to help with cosmetic dentistry procedures. Always be aware of when you want to choose the cosmetic dentistry.

For people who want a flashy smile, the teeth whitening process can be easily managed. The tooth whitening can reduce fading and give the patient a whiter smile and a deep dental cleaning.

But really how much whiter your teeth can become? Some teeth whitening products claim that your teeth may become whiter 9 degrees. This is overstated. For bleaching teeth 2 or 3 degrees is possible and it can provide a significant change in a person’s smile.

It is important to note at this point that our teeth have no uniform whiteness. Usually, the whitest teeth are the two front teeth while molars are generally darker. A realistic goal for anyone wishing to have a set of whiter teeth and achieve an optimal level while simultaneously retaining a natural look of white teeth. In addition, the results of teeth whitening can vary from patient to pacinte depending on the tooth structure and the type of procedure.

What is teeth whitening?

Teeth bleaching is a process by which it is the tooth, removing layers of enamel and dentin to affect the brightness and discoloration of the teeth. A dental bleaching using carbamide peroxide common within a mouth guard worn over the teeth

What is the Dental Discoloration?

Define discoloration of the teeth depends on its many causes and it is important to distinguish between external and internal stains

External stains: snuff, tea, coffee and juices such as apple and grape juice

Internal stains: excessive fluoride (during teeth formation), aging, trauma, decay, tetracycline (during tooth formation).

Only professional and dental bleaching remove stains can be customized internal and external. Commercial teeth whitening products like toothpastes only remove external stains.

Who can be a teeth whitening?

Anyone can benefit from teeth whitening procedure. Certain medical treatments may be less effective for some people. Patients who have stained teeth from tetracycline or plates may also experience uneven whiteness because these dental fixtures do not whiten along with the rest of the teeth.

Can a pregnant or nursing during the baby’s whiten your teeth?

It is recommended that the dentist agrees to a pregnant woman with the nursing period should avoid teeth whitening treatment. The reason for this is that no clinical studies yet to say the effects of tooth whitening agents on the health of women in these periods of their lives.

Why do some teeth whitening is not the same as the rest?

The sides of your teeth and whiten the corners faster than the rest. This is due to thicker than emanel in these areas. Teeth with thicker emanel respond faster to the bleaching agent emanel fine teeth. Continue with the teeth whitening treatment and eventually match whiteness.

Teeth whitening is safe?

Dental treatment is most preferred custom bleaching using carbamide peroxide plate. This dental procedure, when done under the supervision of a dental professional beautician or a dentist is safe. No damage occurring in the bleaching of teeth can affect your teeth and gums. Nor damages the enamel and causes tooth weakening. The only short-term adverse effect is tooth sensitivity that will go quickly once the process is finished.

If you have more questions you concerned about tooth bleaching but not named in this article, consult your dentist. The more you know about teeth whitening prices and various dental features simple, you take your decision with more confidence and security.

In case of a brief, sharp pain, both chewing and eating something cold, there may be an incomplete fracture of a tooth (green stick fracture). The dentist can correct the problem with a filling (restoration), provided in the case of an incomplete fracture without loosening of the tooth.

The upper teeth, particularly the forwards if they are prominent, are more prone to injuries and fractures. If after injury the tooth does not respond to stimulus from the air, it is likely that the damage affected only the hard outer surface (enamel). This does not require immediate treatment if it is a small crack.

Fractures of the middle layer of the tooth (dentin) are usually painful when exposed to air and food, which is why people with such fractures request immediate assistance. If the fracture affects the innermost part of the tooth (pulp), is often a red spot and some blood in the fracture. It may be necessary to address the root to remove the remaining pulp before they die and cause severe pain.

If the patient is under 12 years, the root treatment may be delayed until the complete formation of the roots of affected teeth.

Call your dentist if a wound or bruise a tooth loosens its socket, or if you bleed too much gum tissue.

The placement of the fixed appliance requires great skill on the part of the specialist, but there would be no discomfort for the child.

In regular visits, usually made over a year to reach final alignment of the teeth, it is changing the relationship of the various components to regulate the action of the device.

1 .- After carefully cleaning and drying the surface of the teeth, the dentist paste clamps that make support for the wire with a special cement that attaches firmly to tooth enamel.

2 .- On the slots of the clamps is fixed steel arch wire that gradually imposes the shape of the teeth and small loops of rubber or springs to approximate or separate the teeth in the regular sessions appropriate modifications are made to adjust the machine and vary its action as the misplacement be corrected.

Although it takes a few days until the child becomes accustomed to his presence, the fixed appliance is not annoying or cause significant impairment, but requires careful oral hygiene and take precautions to lunch, which will soon become an activity usual for our son to take place naturally. Your dentist will teach the proper grooming and hygiene of the mouth.

In case of toothache, Didier Le Bail, naturopath in Paris, explains how to get relief through natural remedies. However, this advice does not relieve a visit to the dentist as soon as possible to determine the cause of the pain!

Carious tooth

“I have a cavity I quickly seek treatment. Recently, my teeth became very sensitive. What can I do until my appointment with the dentist? ”

In Stage 1 of the cavities, no pain: only the enamel is achieved.
In Stage 2 of the cavity, the dentin underneath the enamel is in turn affected. Result: the onset of sensitivity to heat, cold and sweet.
In Stage 3, it was the turn of the pulp (tooth nerve) to be reached. Result: a nice toothache! The risk of tooth abscess is not far.

Natural solutions:

• Aromatherapy: 1 drop Clove ET (anesthetic and potent antibacterial) or ET 1 drop Clove 1 drop + ET Wintergreen (analgesic, anti-inflammatory) on a cotton swab to apply against the tooth. Another option recommended: 3 drops ET Savory mountain (antibacterial powerful) + 2 drops Peppermint ET (anesthetic) + 1 drop Tea tree ET (powerful antibacterial) + 3 drops of vegetable oil (hazelnut, sesame, macadamia, Calophylle). Apply 2 drops of the mixture on the caries + 2 drops on the cheek next to the pain 3 to 4 times per day.

• Hydrotherapy *: practice mouthwash the hydrosol of Laurel (2 shares) and Sage (1 part). 3 to 5 rinses per day.

• Herbal medicine: the mother tincture of Plantago major (plantain) has a reputation for calming oral diseases. In cases of painful cavities, pour a few drops of mother tincture undiluted on a cotton swab to apply against the tooth.

• Clay therapy: with a little water and clay, make small balls that you suck then. Relief of pain should be obtained fairly quickly.

Devitalized tooth and crowned

“My dentist is to conduct a thorough cleaning of a tooth crown having undergone micro leakage. He installed a temporary tooth. Any risk of infection is not removed, he prescribed me an antibiotic to use in case of occurrence of edema. As I find a shame to wait until the situation deteriorates to intervene, I would like to know if there is a natural way to act immediately against the possible risk of infection.”

Bad breath, otherwise known as halitosis, is not a mysterious phenomenon. We know precisely its immediate cause: it is due to the presence of sulfur compounds including hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercantile, which give the breath a smell of rotten eggs. A device even exists to quantify the presence of these compounds, altimeter which there is little evidence, however, useful in practice.

First charge: bacteria.

Nine times out of ten, causing bad breath is mouth. It is believed that bacteria accumulate in the furrows dug by the papillae on the posterior part of the language. It is these bacteria that produce extremely volatile sulfur compounds that escape into the exhaled air. The presence of these bacteria also explains the stench morning. Saliva is less abundant during the night, they tend to accumulate. The mere fact of getting up, drinking or taking his breakfast is usually enough to eliminate the smell and they are responsible.

The remaining question is why some people produce an abundance of sulfur compounds and other not. The poor condition of the gums, the presence of large cavities or treatment faulty valve can cause the accumulation of bacteria and food debris. So if you feel that your breath has changed suddenly so unpleasant, the first step is certainly going to visit your dentist to check the condition of your teeth and gums and to treat any cavities. It will also give you advice on hygiene, especially if you have periodontics, gum inflammation resulting in the formation of pockets between the teeth and gums, which accumulate food debris.

Brushing the tongue.

But most bad breath develops without specific cause, even among people with proper dental hygiene. One can hardly advise that some rules of hygiene. Brushing your teeth after every meal, use the floss in the evening to remove food debris between teeth is the minimum. But it is also recommended to brush the tongue, especially its posterior part, where the papillae are most pronounced, to eliminate bacteria. The tongue scrapers, available in pharmacies, can also be employed or a small spoon. Gums, inner cheeks and palate should also be brushed in order to expel the bacteria.

Mouthwash refreshing to essential oils (eucalyptus, mint ..) are just a few minutes mask the stench. Baths antibiotics, chlorhexidine-based, for example, are not recommended in regular use because of side effects. They criticized in particular to increase the risk of oral cancer. These baths can not replace the care of dental hygiene.

Avoid dry mouth.

Chewing gum, lozenges and other sprays also have a masking effect very ephemeral. But the former have the interest to salivate. We know that a dry mouth increases the risk of bad breath.

Some diseases or therapies can reduce the secretion of saliva. This is also the case of tobacco, which brings also its peculiar odor.

In case of insufficient salivation, it is necessary to ensure regular drink or absorb some foods, which sweep the deposits on the tongue.

Fishy.

Other causes of bad breath are well known. A rare genetic peculiarity, recently identified, the trimethylaminuria, causes a fishy odor. Unfortunately there are no really effective remedies. Some diseases commonplace, such as ENT infections are causes of bad breath.
