When supplementing the teeth?
Between 2.5 and 3 years the child has complete time formula and remain unchanged until the 5.5 to 6 years old when it begins the replacement tooth and eruption of the first permanent molars (molars of 6).

Local discomfort from the eruption
Although the eruption is a natural process, often the appearance of the teeth is preceded by some irritating expressions for the child who put him irritable and hateful

The most characteristic feature is the great salivation and itching of the gums, which makes the child bite their fingers tightly, bottle, pacifier or anything else within reach. All those troubles disappear when broken teeth and gum do not do them under pressure.

Contrary to popular belief, is not exactly what the child pain felt in the gums where the teeth are to appear. pressure they are under the gum causes an itching sensation, he just needs to alleviate rubbing with your fingers or biting hard toys or pacifier. if he had avoided touching the child pain. Local anesthetics do not have much effect in these circumstances. This discomfort usually present with more intensity at mealtimes and when the child is lying because in these circumstances increases blood flow and hence cellular activity. is likely that in these circumstances to reject the food if you are hungry and also alter your normal sleep rhythm. to alleviate it is advisable to rub their gums with your finger knuckle few minutes before you start eating, or pass any item to bite; in trade sell some plastic elements that help to that effect.

General Events
Frequently during tooth eruption child may have manifestations that compromise their overall condition: is irritable. alter their sleep cycles. not eat and sometimes has some tenths of a foot. Although all these events can be considered as normal. keep in mind that these ages are common infectious diseases and that they have the same characteristics in its infancy. if the child has high fever, diarrhea or obvious decay. is necessary to consult a doctor.

When general discomfort are the result of the eruption. they spend almost instantaneously with the appearance of their teeth or who were pressing under the gumline.

When the gum is very swollen and firm and remains more than one or two weeks causing general discomfort. ask the dentist recommended.

Eruption Cysts
It sometimes happens that the tooth becomes trapped beneath the gum and there is a lump that protrudes from the rim in the form of a small cyst can be pale pink or blue-black and transparent like a bruise. is filled with fluid or blood, respectively, which prevents the tooth to make enough pressure to break the gum.

In this case it is desirable that the dentist makes a small incision to drain the liquid and allow the tooth to appear. your gums in that area is very sensitive. therefore requires only a few seconds frotar1a topical anesthetic.

What happens in premature babies?
In premature infants tooth eruption is somewhat tardra. Children with neonatal teeth are generally more precocious eruption of the remaining teeth and the teeth begin to change before age 6.

Baby teeth begin to form in the third week of intrauterine life, so when the child is born, has within its jaws outbreaks of the 20 teeth that make your temporary dental formula. or “milk” and the differentiated cells that give rise to the 32 teeth of permanent teeth.

It has been even teeth at birth, Can it be?
Although not very frequent, happen that a child born with 1 or 2 cloves. These are called natal teeth. When they appear in the mouth in the first weeks of life are called neonatal teeth.

Teeth are normal formula that advance their appearance for reasons that are unknown. Some of them are very immature and have yet to rarz anchored in the alveolar ridge; be seen as a crown too movable pedunculated, attached to the surface of the gum. Within 2 to 3 weeks and continue to assert themselves perfectly normal development.

Extract is not indicated unless they are noticed, too loose and is liable to become detached and be inhaled by the baby.

Contrary to popular belief, these teeth do not bother the mother’s breast to nurse, because when the baby sucks the tongue comes between them and the nipple. Sr what can happen is to erode the ventral surface of the tongue when the baby sucks very vigorously or when he or teeth are too sharp edges. In any case these are situations that must be evaluated individually.

Broken teeth: good reflexes

Dental trauma, the tooth is broken or not, is always an emergency. More effectively support is faster, the chances of recovering the tooth in good working condition are great. In practice, when the tooth was expelled under the effect of the shock, it must be replanted within 20 minutes. The child may keep his mouth on contact with saliva, awaiting the intervention of the dentist.

It must of course be careful not to swallow. For this purpose, it can be wrapped in gauze for example. Other supportive environment to transport the tooth, milk or saline solution, which saves a few extra minutes.

Respond quickly

If the tooth is broken and only a fragment can be reattached, it should, again, to keep the piece “in the mouth”. The circumstances are so ideal and repair almost immediately, especially if the fracture of interest to the pulp. There are now adhesives and composites to pick up the fragment or restore the tooth if the piece has been lost.

Radiography are necessary anyway to ensure the integrity of adjacent teeth. We can thus eliminate the possibility of a fracture of the root even if the teeth are apparently not broken. It is not about waiting for the end of the day to deal with it if the accident occurred in the morning: any dentist you wish to upset its program for this reason.

Good reflexes.

When the tooth has been expelled, she is back in place after disinfection and restraint (that is to say an asset) is performed with a small wire held by the composite operation close to the restraint of a joint. If the teeth are necrotic and die, they are usually in the six months following the shock. This justifies monitoring visits at regular intervals until two to three years after the trauma. A color change is not a good sign.

Finally a dental trauma is never trivial, it affects the baby teeth or permanent teeth. The permanent tooth germ may suffer expulsion or intrusion of a tooth. If, however, nothing has been done on this tooth and if an abscess occurs, the germ is also vulnerable.

Dental trauma is a public health problem and it affects a large number of children and prevention of complications is possible … provided they are informed. As evidenced by these figures: 20 to 30% of children aged 12 have a trauma in permanent teeth and one third of preschool children have already suffered trauma to the teeth, or teeth, often linked to learning walking, household accidents or play yard …

The teeth most often are broken incisors and canines of the upper jaw.

You may never ask why and how the erosion of teeth is formed, this article will explain why the erosion occurred in the teeth.

Dental erosion is the loss of dental hard tissue found on the surface of the teeth due to chemical processes, usually acid attack, without involving plaque. In our diet, some foods and beverages high in acids, and in susceptible individuals and under certain circumstances (Greater exposure to food and / or acidic drinks) it is possible that erosion may occur. A greater frequency of exposure can overwhelm the natural protective ability of the mouth, which varies between individuals.

It is advisable to avoid eating and drinking acidic foods and drinks during the day, limiting their consumption preferably to main meals, and brushing teeth at least twice a day using fluoride toothpaste. It has been suggested that it should avoid brushing teeth immediately after consuming acidic foods or beverages since the brushing in the presence of acid can increase wear of the teeth. Chewing sugarless gum also helps neutralize the effects of acids which stimulates saliva secretion and thus neutralize the action of acids.
