The pulp (pulp) is located within the Nervkammer of the tooth and consists of blood and lymph vessels and nerve cells. This vascular system of the tooth the necessary nutrients are supplied. The thread-like tissue of the dental pulp can be damaged by deep decay damage or even injuries to the root canal to become infected with bacteria and become inflamed. Under certain circumstances this may constitute a Eiterabszess at the root tip in the jawbone, which can destroy the surrounding bone. Symptoms of inflammation of the dental pulp are spontaneous and pulsating pain and increased sensitivity to pain during cold and hot dishes.
